Tubular Heat Exchanger in Sludge Drying
Tubular heat exchanger is one of the most widely used types in sludge drying, and its function is to transfer the heat from the heat source (e.g. steam, hot water, flue gas, thermal oil, etc.) to the wet sludge to realize water evaporation and sludge drying. The structure is sturdy, adaptable to high viscosity and particle-containing media, and suitable for handling sludge, which is easy to scale and has impurities.
Shell and tube heat exchanger
Structure: composed of shell, tube bundle and tube plate, sludge (or heat-carrying medium) flows in the shell course, and the heat source (e.g. steam, thermal oil) flows in the tube course, and the heat is exchanged through the tube wall.
Application Scenario: Commonly used in indirect heating drying system (e.g. disc dryer, paddle dryer auxiliary heating), especially suitable for low and medium temperature (100-200 ℃) heat source, such as saturated steam or hot water.
Advantages: large heat transfer area, high pressure resistance, turbulence can be strengthened by increasing the folding plate to reduce sludge deposition and scaling; easy maintenance, the tube bundle can be dismantled and washed.
