Fixed Tube Heat Exchanger

Structure: tube and shell heat exchanger in which the tube sheets at both ends of the tube bundle are fixedly connected to the shell by welding method.

 

Advantages: simple and compact structure, can withstand high pressure, low cost. No internal leakage. Tube cleaning is convenient, tube damage is easy to plug or replace. The number of rows of pipes is more than the U-shaped tube heat exchanger. Heat transfer area is 20%~30% larger than floating head type heat exchanger.

 

Disadvantages: tube bundles and shell wall temperature or material line expansion coefficient difference is large, the shell and tube bundles will produce a large thermal stress, which should be required to set the flexible components (such as expansion joints). Can not extract the core can not be mechanically cleaned. Cannot replace the tube bundle, high maintenance costs. Easy to produce temperature difference force, between the tube plate and tube head easy to produce temperature difference stress and damage. Tube corrosion together with the shell scrapped, equipment life is low.

 

Scope of use: the shell side of the media is clean, not easy to scale, can not be cleaned, the tube course and the shell on both sides of the temperature difference is not large or a large temperature difference but the shell side of the pressure is not high occasions.
